While teaching in Utica Community Schools I helped organize the following for 5 to 10 years: (1) Art on a Cart which highlighted a different artist each month in every classroom in 36 bldgs. (2) Murals painted on hallways walls on weekends by parents, students & teachers (3) Celebration of a decade for 3 days using speakers, activities, music, food & art of the decade, as well as community involvement for the K-6 school. Everyone dressed in the clothes of the decade. (4) 4th grade in all of UCS to attend a performance at the Macomb Center for Performing Arts. Organization of times & buses for 36 schools (5) Current member of DIA & Macomb Anton Art Center (6) Organized student art display at admin. bldg.
