| I have been involved in supporting and attending community events my entire residency in Eastpointe (45 years), and around 2017 started becoming more involved in and aware of city government and policy. I hear so many residents voice concerns without knowing where to go for answers and these committees are the answer. I would like to be a part of Eastpointe moving forward to attract viable businesses, to adopting sustainable planning and zoning that will enable growth in the future, and offering affordable yet modern housing that will be a much-needed boon to local, neighborhood businesses.
Most of my community involvement has been in the political and social network of the city, however, most of my past work experience has been in managerial positions where I was called upon to work with local city governments (St. Louis Park, MN, Minneapolis, MN, Shelby Twp. MI, Madison Heights, MI, St. Clair Shores, MI) on company expansion projects, zoning issues, building permits, code enforcement issues and business licenses. I would like to be considered for any one of the above committees checked based on most needed by the city. |
