Being a retiree serving on the Civil Service Commission would allow me to help both the City as well as its employees, in helping the function of the City. Retiree 27 years with the police department, retired as Deputy Chief of Police. During that time I have read and used the Civil Service rules who conduct internal investigations for possible charges. As the POAM Union V.P. I used this when representing officers charged. I feel both of these experiences give me a better or wider view of the rules and commission. Also attended many meetings in person to present and job certifications.
