Through graduate research, I learned more about the murals located in Eastpointe through partnerships with the Detroit Institute of Arts. As a resident of Eastpointe, I would have never known about these if not for my educational research. It became clear to me that the City of Eastpointe is lacking Arts & Cultural organizations and events. I'm interested in serving on this Commission to enhance our local community and make it possible for fellow Eastpointe residents to have access to great Arts & Cultural Experiences without needing to leave their community. -Bachelors in Art and Art History from Albion College -Masters in Arts Administration from Wayne State University -Currently working for the Detroit Repertory Theatre, Historic Boston-Edison Association -Strong supporter of the Detroit Arts Community and a donor and/or member at a number of various arts organizations around Metropolitan Detroit -Volunteer with Downriver Council for the Arts, Michigan Guild of Artists and Artisans
