Community involvement is the backbone of a city as it helps to develop community relationships and can assist in the creation achievement of the city's vision for the future. I wish to continue to serve on these commissions. New form asks about any professional qualifications, work experience, or community involvement relative to the board or commission: I was active in promoting the arts & cultural diversity understanding by heling to organize student and community experiences for Utica Community Schools, painting murals in the halls of an elementary school & serving on districtwide committees that created a positive relationship between school, parents & community. Understanding the difference between City Manager & Mayor form of government is very important. I have negotiated salaries & have an understanding of fiscal responsibility as it relates to budgets & finances. |
