To the City Eastpointe, My name is Joilynn Gambrell Williams, and I would like to run for a vacant seat on the City of Eastpointe Commission. As a dedicated, wife, mother of four, and grandmother of 7, and a current resident of the City of Eastpointe, it is my belief that public service is a responsibility that we should all have a united effort in by contributing our time and effort toward the well being of the community in which we live, work, and entertain. As a previous resident of the City of Detroit for more than 50 years, I shared in the dedication, responsibility, and growth of the community. I began my tenure of service in the community more than 25 years ago where I have sat and actively participated on several executive boards. These boards include the Detroit Police Athletic League for the Eastside Cowboys, Pop Warner Football League for the Detroit Knights, the Parent Teacher Association for Winans' Academy of Performing Arts and Parents on the Move Parent Association. My goal and commitment for the City of Eastpointe is to serve with humility and grace as an asset in the continued growth and prosperity of our community. Respectfully, Joilynn Gambrell Williams
